Job summary

GA Systems LLC in Orange, CA is seeking a Press Brake Operator I to produce high-quality sheet metal parts. You will set up the press brake, adjust bending parameters, interpret drawings, and select dies and tools to complete jobs safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities include inspecting finished pieces for conformance, maintaining attendance, following safety procedures, and collaborating with team members to meet production goals. Overtime may be required to support business needs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and at least 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to perform setups in a stainless-steel fabrication environment.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings/blueprints
• Ability to adapt and adjust plans to meet changing needs.

Responsibilities

• Operates the press brake by setting up the machine, adjusting settings, and performing the bending.
• Interprets technical drawings to understand the desired shape, angle, and dimensions of the metal pieces.
• Chooses the correct dies, punches, and other tools needed for the specific job.
• Adjusts machine settings for material thickness and bend angles.
• Inspects finished pieces to ensure they meet the required specifications and quality standards.
• Maintains reliable and consistent attendance, including being punctual, dependable, and flexible to potential schedule changes to meet the needs of the department and the organization.
• Follows all safety procedures required in the work area, wears PPE as needed, attends all safety meetings, and reports safety issues regarding equipment or unsafe/hazardous conditions.
• Performs effectively as a team member, able to work well with others, open to receive and give feedback, and treats everyone with respect.
• Takes ownership of own work and behavior, accepts accountability for own actions, encourages solutions, and communicates status of work/projects.
• Follows all department quality standards/criteria. Raises concerns and issues to management.
• Other duties as needed or required.
