Vertiv is hiring a dependable Machine Operator – Pre-Assembly to support preparation and assembly of components for manufacturing. You will operate pre-assembly equipment, prepare parts and subassemblies, and ensure materials meet quality and production requirements before final assembly.

The role emphasizes safety, adherence to work instructions, and active participation in maintaining production flow and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in manufacturing, assembly, or machine operation preferred.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, basic drawings, or production documentation.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
• Basic computer skills for production tracking or documentation.

Responsibilities

• Operate pre-assembly machinery and equipment to prepare components and subassemblies according to work instructions and production specifications.
• Gather, stage, and prepare parts, hardware, and materials required for pre-assembly operations to support production schedules.
• Perform basic mechanical pre-assembly tasks such as fastening, fitting, or aligning components to create subassemblies for downstream production.
• Inspect components and subassemblies for accuracy, proper fit, and quality standards; identify and report defects or inconsistencies.
• Record production output, quality checks, and equipment performance using production logs or digital systems as required.
• Monitor machine performance during operation and notify maintenance or supervision of any malfunctions, abnormalities, or safety concerns.
