Job summary

Vertiv in Ohio is seeking a dependable General Assembler to support final assembly, inspection, and preparation of finished products. You will perform assembly operations, ensure product quality, and meet daily production targets in a safe, efficient manner.

This role emphasizes attention to detail, adherence to blueprints, use of hand and power tools, accurate documentation, and teamwork to support Vertiv’s manufacturing excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous manufacturing or assembly experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, blueprints, or diagrams.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Final Assembly Operations: Perform assembly of components and subassemblies according to work instructions, blueprints, and standard operating procedures.
• Quality Assurance: Inspect completed assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements; identify and report defects or discrepancies.
• Tool & Equipment Use: Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment required for final assembly processes.
• Production Efficiency: Meet daily production goals while maintaining accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
• Documentation: Accurately complete production records, checklists, and required documentation in a timely manner.
• Material Handling: Move materials and components within the work area using proper handling techniques and equipment.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Safety & Housekeeping: Follow all safety guidelines, wear required PPE, and maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards.
