Qualifications

• Must have successfully passed the Edison Electric Institute Power Plant Maintenance and Plant Operator selection exams.
• Prefer previous experience as an operator in a power plant.
• Applicant is required to successfully pass the Xcel Energy screening requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operates, inspects, and performs maintenance on power plant equipment.
• Participates in hands-on training and classroom training for power plant operations.
• Monitors and records operating conditions of equipment.

Skills

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Valid driver's license

Familiarity with power generation

Education
