Louisville Gas and Electric Company in Kentucky is seeking a Station Helper to support plant and yard operations on a regular, irregular, or rotating shift. No prior experience is required; candidates must meet general employment qualifications and be able to learn the power-plant environment.

Responsibilities include following safety rules, assisting operating personnel, performing routine inspections, and maintaining equipment clean and orderly.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, understand, read, and write English.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid state driver’s license and be willing to pass a driving test for company vehicles.

Responsabilités

• Follow safety rules, procedures and practices.
• Assist supervision and training of others in operating procedures.
• Perform routine and non-routine housekeeping and inspections.
• Wipe and clean equipment and maintain a clean, orderly work area.
• Assist operating personnel in plant/yard operations and report irregularities.
