Job summary

Calpine seeks an entry-level position responsible for manning the power plant control room and assisting the engineering team in safe operation and maintenance of the facility. The role includes monitoring equipment, maintaining logs, issuing permits, and ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards.

Responsibilities extend to initiating maintenance requests, troubleshooting with engineers, and contributing to plant improvements and procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and attendance in trade school, military service or equivalent.
• Entry-level; minimum 2 years directly related experience including familiarity with power plants operations and equipment.
• Computer skills including experience working with spreadsheet, databases and word processing software.
