Job summary

County of Lake seeks an entry-level Staff Services Analyst I to support departmental operations by collecting program and statistical data, assisting with eligibility and staff matters, and analyzing legislation for impact.

Under supervision, you will help develop training, coordinate staff development, prepare routine reports, and assist with contracts and quality improvement efforts. This role offers opportunity to learn multiple administrative disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher; supervisor experience may substitute.
• One year experience in analysis of complex rules/regulations.
• Ability to collect, interpret, and evaluate data.
• Effective written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Performs reviews and analysis of department operations, policies, and procedures.
• Analyzes the impact of legislation on department functions and services.
• Gathers and analyzes data regarding services and operations.
• Develops recommendations on policies, procedures, and operations.
• Coordinates and organizes staff training and development.
• Prepares major department reports such as the comprehensive annual plan.
• Represents the department at meetings and conferences.
• Handles appeals and attempts to resolve hearing issues.
