Job summary

IES is seeking an entry-level Plumbing Service Technician in San Antonio, TX to support plumbing service, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting for residential and commercial customers. The role emphasizes safety, basic plumbing knowledge, and developing field skills while delivering professional customer interactions.

The position requires 2–4 years of related experience in plumbing or field service, with a focus on learning company standards and codes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with diagnosing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems, fixtures, and related equipment.
• Support service technicians with troubleshooting, inspections, installations, and repair activities.
• Read and interpret basic work orders, diagrams, specifications, and service documentation as assigned.
• Assist with identifying plumbing issues and completing repairs in accordance with company standards and applicable codes.
• Maintain tools, equipment, vehicles, and work areas in safe and organized condition.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, plumbing codes, and operational standards.
• Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and jobsite documentation as required.
• Coordinate with field personnel, supervisors, customers, vendors, and internal departments regarding service activities and jobsite needs.
• Provide professional customer interactions and maintain positive customer relationships during service visits.
• Support jobsite organization, material handling, and operational efficiency throughout service activities.
• Participate in training and skill development activities to expand plumbing service knowledge and technical capabilities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
