Job summary

TIC Inc in Port Arthur, TX is seeking entry-level skilled craft helpers to support fabrication and piping tasks. You will learn to read isometric drawings, measure, and fabricate piping components while working under supervision.

You will assist seasoned craftspeople to align, bolt, and clamp parts for welding, install equipment per plans, and help with hydro testing of piping systems in an industrial setting. Safety and compliance are required.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing.
• Must pass fit-for-duty medical and background check.
• Observe and comply with all safety and project rules.

Responsibilities

• Learn to read isometric drawings, take measurements, fabricate and install piping efficiently.
• Assist skilled craftsman to align, bolt, and clamp components for welding.
• Assist with assembling and securing pipes, tubes, fittings per specifications.
• Position and secure materials during installation per plans and specs.
• Learn to distinguish varying thickness and types of metal materials.
• Learn to handle and apply rigging equipment securely.
• Operate beveling machines, grinders, hammers, torches, drills, and a Saw-Zall.
• Layout and install equipment, vessels, skids, pumps, pipe, and supports.
• Assist with hydro testing piping systems.
