Job summary

TIC – The Industrial Company seeks an entry-level team member to support skilled craftspeople in piping fabrication and installation. The role involves reading isometric drawings, taking measurements, and assisting with alignment, bolting and welding preparations on metal components.

Candidates will learn to handle tools, operate bevelers, grinders, torches, drills, and rigging equipment, while following safety and project rules at height or in confined spaces.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with relevant field experience.
• Ability to read, understand and follow instructions precisely.
• Knowledge of safe and efficient use of hand and power tools.
• Field experience in chosen craft discipline is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn to read isometric drawings, take measurements, fabricate and install piping.
• Assist skilled craftsman to align, bolt and clamp components for welding.
• Assemble and secure pipes, fittings and equipment per specifications with welding/threads.
• Position and secure materials; install items per plans and specs.
• Learn material thickness differences and rigging equipment handling.
• Operate beveling machines, grinders, torches and drills as directed.
• Layout and install equipment, vessels, skids, pumps, pipe and supports.
• Assist with hydro testing of piping systems.
