PDS Tech Commercial in Ashland, VA is hiring for an Entry-Level Pipe Fabrication / Machine Operator on 1st shift. This temp-to-perm role offers hands-on training with band saws and pipe fabrication machinery, with a starting pay of $19.00 per hour.

The ideal candidate has 6–8 months of recent machine or mechanical experience, can read a tape measure, and works well in a non-climate-controlled environment. High school diploma or GED required.

Qualifications

• 6-8 months of recent machine or mechanical experience.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and math skills.
• Reliable work history and good attendance.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Able to wear required steel-toe shoes or boots.

Responsibilities

• Operate band saws and pipe fabrication machinery.
• Measure and cut pipe using a tape measure and gauges.
• Assist with threading, beveling, cutting, and preparing pipe.
• Move and organize pipe throughout the shop and yard.
• Perform basic quality checks.
• Operate material-handling equipment as trained.
• Follow all safety and production procedures.
