Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Physical Therapist I to autonomously assess and treat patients referred to physical therapy, with responsibilities spanning examination, diagnosis, prognosis, intervention and discharge planning.

The role includes implementing the plan of care, collaborating with patients, families and the medical team, supervising staff and documenting care, with formal licensure requirements at entry and Basic Life Support certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• License as a Physical Therapist is required, with BLS certification.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate patients to determine referral appropriateness, history, exam, prognosis and plan of care.
• Implement the plan of care using therapeutic procedures and collaboration to achieve goals.
• Review progress and modify the plan; update discharge planning as needed.
• Manage a defined caseload and perform administrative tasks including documentation and billing.
• Provide teaching to patients and families and supervise PT staff and aides.
