Memorial Hermann Health System in Texas seeks a Physical Therapist to assess patients, develop and initiate treatment plans based on evaluations of neuromuscular and skeletal functions. The role provides direct patient care, documents findings, progress, and instruction to patients and caregivers.

The PT may assist Level II & III therapists, lead program development, and train students/interns. Eligible candidates hold a Texas PT license and BLS certification; Wed–Sat 4–10h shifts are noted.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current or temporary license to practice Physical Therapy by Texas Board of PT Examiners or by the PT Compact Commission.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Doctoral degree with residency or fellowship for direct access; or licensed therapist with 30 hours of continuing competence in differential diagnosis.

Responsabilités

• Assesses patients and develops and initiates treatment plans based on evaluations.
• Documents findings, progress, and instruction to patients and caregivers.
• May assist Level II & III physical therapists and leadership with program development.
• May provide training and guidance to students, interns and other staff.
• Responsible for patient care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians.
• Assumes responsibility in the care of the patient; performs complete, comprehensive evaluations; interprets findings; implements treatment plans; ensures documentation and patient safety.
