Job summary

Chrysos in Nevada seeks an early-career Maintenance Specialist to provide hands-on technical support for PhotonAssay equipment on a rotating roster. The role is based in Elko/Carlin, NV, US, and targets engineers with ~1–2 years of relevant experience who want to grow in fault-finding, preventive maintenance and safe site operations.

Qualifications

• The role requires a tertiary engineering qualification and 1–2 years of relevant experience.
• Foundational understanding of electro-mechanical equipment and fault-finding.
• Strong safety mindset and willingness to learn site safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support scheduled maintenance and servicing of PhotonAssay installations.
• Assist with responding to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Develop capability in troubleshooting and performance checks.
• Collaborate with Chrysos HQ and partners to diagnose issues.
• Assist with customer training on safe operation and routine maintenance.
• Support spares inventory management for installation sites.
• Document maintenance, faults and actions accurately.
• Contribute to process improvements for PhotonAssay systems.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new PhotonAssay installations.
• Prepare fault records for statistics and follow-up actions.
• Participate in Root Cause Analysis with the team.
• Build knowledge across electrical, electronic, mechanical and mechatronic systems.
• Support development of a strong WHS culture.
