Job summary

Parker Aerospace in Fort Worth, TX is offering an entry-level trainee role for penetrant inspection. You will work under SPD Certified Penetrant Inspectors, gaining hands-on experience to prepare and process parts through penetrant inspection.

With 32 hours NAS-410 training and a drive to learn, you’ll understand codes, standards and contract documents while performing basic inspections and safety procedures in a collaborative team setting.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent and 1 year of plant experience.
• Successful completion of NAS-410 32-hour penetrant classroom training preferred.
• Ability to interpret codes, standards and contractual documents.
• Must complete 400 hours of penetrant on-the-job training for Level 2 eligibility.
• Ability to read instructions, drawings and blueprints and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Immerse or spray parts with fluorescent penetrant and dwell as required.
• Water rinse, dry and develop parts for inspection by Level 2/3 inspector.
• Gain experience under SPD Certified Penetrant Inspectors and learn codes and standards.
• Perform process checks under supervision and follow SPD safety guidelines.
• Support team and perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
