Giles Automotive Group Lafayette, LA is seeking an entry-level payroll clerk to support our HR and accounting teams. You will help ensure employees are paid accurately and on time while gaining hands-on experience with payroll processes.

This in-person role rewards detail-oriented, coachable candidates who handle confidential information with integrity. Training on ADP and our benefits system will foster growth into a trusted payroll professional within a growing automotive group.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of payroll processing experience, preferably multi-location or automotive dealership.
• Proficiency in ADP or similar HRIS platforms and strong Excel skills.
• Sharp attention to detail and accuracy with numbers.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and improve payroll processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll for all locations accurately and on time.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws.
• Maintain accurate employee records, including tax forms and direct deposit.
• Prepare and distribute payroll reports for management.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies promptly with transparency.
• Collaborate with HR and accounting on hires, changes, terminations.
• Utilize ADP to streamline payroll workflow.
