Qualifikationen

• Minimum of three months experience as a PCT or current junior nursing program.

Aufgaben

• Assists in delivering patient care per scope of service as directed by the RN.
• Assists with admissions, transfers, discharges, and transport of patients.
• Obtains and records temperature, pulse, respirations, BP, SpO2, weights and glucose; reports changes.
• Demonstrates competence in advanced skills (suctioning, dressings, tube feeding setup, etc.).
• Communicates with health care team to share information and solve problems; documents appropriately.
• Documents legibly on hospital forms using standardized abbreviations.
• Receives patient reports from RN and oncoming PCT; provides end-of-shift report.
• Participates in walking rounds with team at shift change.
• Provides personalized care and notes special needs on rounding sheet.
• Uses educational materials and attends in-services to maintain competencies.
• Assists in code situations under Code Blue Team guidance.
• Adheres to infection control and safety policies; uses two identifiers for samples/procedures.
• Maintains cleanliness of units; cleans rooms, kitchens, storage areas and supplies.
• Maintains REACH values and shows reliable attendance.
