Job summary

Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC) is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under nurse supervision at our Baltimore campus. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vitals, and support safe patient handling in a clean, organized environment.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, MD CNA registration (I or II), CPR, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months experience in direct patient care preferred.
• Ability to read and write English to provide basic patient care.
• Interpersonal and communication skills.
• Competent to safely handle medications.
• Current Maryland CNA I or CNA II registration and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides for care, comfort, and safety of assigned patients under direct supervision of a nurse.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (bathing, toileting, oral hygiene, etc.).
• Performs routine vital signs, weights, and basic measurements.
• Operates and maintains clean, stocked patient areas and supplies.
• Documents patient information accurately in EMR as required.
