Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care and assist with non-direct patient care unit coordination. You will support RNs in caring for stable and acutely ill patients, perform basic nursing procedures, document care in the EMR, and help maintain a safe, clean environment.

Training is provided, you must complete 2 weeks of instruction and be comfortable with shift rotations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 weeks of training or more recommended.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and activities of daily living.
• Document vital signs, intake/output, and treatments.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers on the unit.
• Participate in safety and cleanliness initiatives and quality improvements.
