Job summary

Builders FirstSource, America’s largest supplier of building materials, is seeking an Assembler. This entry-level role performs repetitive assembly to mass-produce products such as windows, doors, and panels.

No formal education or experience is required; prior carpentry can help. You will work at different stations, read simple instructions, and follow safety procedures, with overtime possible. You must stand for long periods and lift up to 100 pounds.

Qualifications

• No formal education or experience required.
• Prior carpentry experience helpful.
• Must be able to read and follow simple instructions.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Must be able to read a tape measure.

Responsibilities

• Places parts in specified relationship to each other.
• Bolts, clips, screws, cements, or otherwise fastens parts together.
• Cuts products to specific measurements as needed.
• Removes defective products as needed.
• Tends machines to perform fastening operations on the assembly line.
• Works at different workstations as production needs require.
• Cleans equipment, floors, and work areas according to safety procedures.
• Other duties may be assigned.
