Job summary

Pike Corporation is seeking a Class C Lineman to join our overhead distribution team. This entry-level role focuses on constructing and repairing energized and de-energized powerlines while prioritizing safety.

You may travel to different job sites, including out-of-state locations, and report to the Foreman. Responsibilities include building and maintaining lines, climbing structures, operating bucket trucks, and performing live-line work with approved gloves and hot-sticks.

Qualifications

• Two years of relevant field experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to work extended hours, weekends, holidays, and emergency callouts.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintenance and repair of overhead distribution systems.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators, and conductors.
• Climb structures and work at heights using approved methods.
• Operate overhead line equipment including bucket trucks and tensioners.
• Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions and during outages.
• Perform live-line work with approved gloves and hot-sticks; follow PPE and safety protocols.
