Job summary

Pike Electric LLC is seeking an entry-level Class C Lineman to construct and repair electrical overhead distribution systems. You may travel to various job sites, including out-of-state locations, as dictated by operations.

You will report to the Foreman and work to keep lines energized or de-energized as required. The role requires climbing different structures, working outdoors in extreme conditions, and readiness for outages and emergencies.

Qualifications

• Two years of relevant field experience.
• Valid CDL required.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work extended hours including weekends, holidays, emergencies, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintenance and repair of energized and de-energized overhead distribution systems with safety first.
• Help install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Climb structures using approved methods and equipment.
• Work at heights and in confined spaces around energized equipment.
• Operate bucket trucks, digger derricks, tensioners and pullers and other line equipment.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions including storms and outages.
• Perform live-line work using gloving and hot-stick techniques and fault locating.
• Follow safety protocols and PPE requirements.
