Job summary

Pike Electric LLC is seeking an entry-level Class C Lineman to construct and repair overhead distribution systems. You will work on energized and de-energized lines and may travel to various job sites, reporting to the Foreman.

This role emphasizes safety, outdoor work in varying conditions, climbing structures, and operating bucket trucks and live-line procedures, with outages and emergencies included in the schedule.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of relevant field experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and handle materials/equipment.
• Willing to work out-of-state assignments and extended hours.
• Willing to work outages, storms, emergencies including on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintain and repair energized and de-energized overhead distribution systems.
• Help install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Climb structures using approved methods and equipment.
• Work at heights, in confined spaces, near energized equipment.
• Operate bucket trucks, digger derricks, tensioners and pullers.
• Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions including extreme weather.
• Available to work outages, storms, emergencies including on call rotation.
• Perform live-line work using approved gloving and hot-stick techniques.
