Job summary

Pike Electric LLC is seeking an entry-level Class C Lineman to construct and repair overhead distribution systems, including energized and de-energized lines. You may travel to different job sites, including out-of-state locations, as operations demand, reporting to the Foreman.

This role emphasizes safety, climbing structures, operating bucket trucks, and performing live-line work with approved techniques.

Qualifications

• Two years of relevant field experience.
• Must hold a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willingness to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work extended hours, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, and maintenance of overhead distribution systems with safety first.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Climb structures using approved methods and equipment.
• Work at heights and near energized equipment.
• Operate bucket trucks, digger derricks and other line equipment.
• Work outdoors in extreme weather conditions.
• Be available for outages, storms, emergencies and on-call rotations.
• Perform live-line work using approved gloving and hot-stick techniques.
