Visionary Ophthalmology in Washington, DC is seeking an entry-level Ophthalmic Technician I (Testing Technician) to support ophthalmic diagnostic testing and patient care. No prior ophthalmic experience is required—on-the-job training is provided—and you will perform tests such as visual acuity, visual field, tonometry, and OCT while documenting results in the EHR.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• On-the-job training provided; no prior ophthalmic experience required.
• Ability to learn and operate ophthalmic diagnostic equipment accurately.

Responsibilities

• Relay appropriate clinical information between patients, physicians, and management.
• Perform ophthalmic diagnostic testing as ordered (VA, visual field, tonometry, OCT, fundus photo, corneal topography, A/B-scan).
• Accurately record test results in the EHR and ensure documentation is complete.
• Maintain clinic flow, handle voicemails/messages, and assist with patient setup.
• Clean, calibrate, and troubleshoot equipment; adhere to safety and HIPAA regulations.
