Job summary

Memphis Light, Gas and Water Division is seeking an Operations Systems Specialist 1 to support the OMS/DMS in a 24/7 electric utility environment. Responsibilities include configuring, testing, troubleshooting and integrating OMS/DMS with other MLGW systems, while applying knowledge of operating systems and security practices.

The role requires a Bachelors degree in a related field and 0–2 years of experience in OMS/DMS or related IT areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration with a concentration in Information Systems, Math with a concentration in Computer Science, or equivalent with at least 12 hours IT/IS courses.
• 0–2 years of experience in OMS/DMS/DA or related cyber security, networking, programming or system analysis, depending on departmental needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide entry-level support for OMS/DMS in a 24/7 electric utility operation.
• Specify, design, code, test, integrate and document software changes for OMS/DMS.
• Assist with interfacing OMS/DMS to other MLGW systems and provide user support.
