Job summary

Eisenhower Health is seeking a Network Support Specialist to provide frontline basic support for the Eisenhower networking environment, including switches, routers, and Wi-Fi, while assisting end users and coordinating with the Network Team.

You will participate in on-call after hours support, document changes, and help with network deployments and maintenance under guidance from senior engineers. A two-year IT networking background plus Network+/Security+ or CCNA are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in information technology or two years of applicable experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies.
• Checks work queues often and updates completed requests within 24 hours.
• Participates in on-call, weekend, and after-hours support for network and voice environment.
• Notifies customers of the status of tickets and project tasks.
• Performs written and oral status reporting as needed or requested.
• Communicates with network team, IT staff, vendors and customers.
• Documents network infrastructure changes in JIRA and notifies staff.
• Collaborates with Network Team to plan emergency changes.
• Follows network diagrams and support documentation; updates documents under supervision.
