Job summary

TIC_Craft in Houston, Texas, seeks an entry-level helper to assist skilled craftspersons by performing supportive duties under close supervision. You will learn to use hand and power tools, review inventory, and help prepare foundations for machinery placement according to project specs.

You will assist with aligning machines, testing installed equipment, and aiding with dismantling and moving components as required by the workload.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, with related experience.
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Field experience in chosen craft discipline.
• Knowledge of the safe and efficient use of hand tools and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Learn to use hand and power tools to measure, cut, assemble and align machinery and install items.
• Assist with reviewing and verifying inventory of equipment and components; prepare foundations and alignments per specifications.
• Assist skilled craftspeople with torquing, rigging, crane placement, testing and adjustments of machinery and equipment.
• Assist with dismantling machines and moving equipment using hoists, dollies and rollers.
• Assist with installation and alignment of equipment to foundations or structures per project specs.
