Job summary

Duke Energy in Edwardsport, IN is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Engineer I to provide day-to-day operational and maintenance support in the Power Block. The role includes developing preventive maintenance plans, updating procedures and technical documents, and coordinating with OEMs and internal teams.

Candidates will review specs and drawings, perform engineering analysis, support safety reviews and incident investigations, and help ensure compliance with PSM guidelines while gaining

Qualifications

• Mechanical background and engineering fundamentals required.
• PSM facility experience and familiarity with GE turbines/HRSGs preferred.
• Ability to review specifications and drawings; basic project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational and maintenance support of the station’s Power Block.
• Develop preventive maintenance and outage plans, update procedures and technical documents.
• Identify and manage O&M and capital project scopes; coordinate with OEMs and internal teams.
