Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking an entry-level engineer to support Electrical and Control systems within the Power Block, providing daily operations support and developing preventive maintenance and outage plans. You will coordinate with OEMs and internal teams, review inspections, and contribute to safety analyses while delivering engineering analysis and technical support.

Open to May 2027 graduates with a BS in engineering (ABET-accredited); MS may be considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program required.
• Master's degree in Engineering will be considered in lieu of the BS.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational and maintenance support of the power block.
• Develop preventive maintenance and outage plans and update procedures.
• Identify and manage O&M and capital project scopes; coordinate with OEMs.
• Review inspections, safety reviews, hazard analyses and incident investigations.
• Provide engineering analysis, troubleshooting and technical support.
