Job summary

Wendel in Albany, NY is seeking an Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer to contribute to HVAC design for new and existing buildings. You will work with a multidisciplinary team across diverse markets to analyze, design and document systems, and perform mechanical calculations for project delivery.

As part of a collaborative, hybrid-work environment, you will interact with clients, contractors and suppliers while growing your technical skills and professional network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering.
• Up to 5 years of experience.
• Microsoft Office experience.
• Experience in related field a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering design for Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) for new and existing building projects in various markets.
• Analyze, design, and document HVAC systems including air-side and hydronic systems for a wide variety of project types.
• Perform mechanical engineering calculations that support the project design.
• Interact with teammates, clients, contractors, and manufacturer representatives during design and construction.
• Collaborate with other design disciplines to develop creative and integrated design solutions for our clients.
• Engage with other mechanical team members to manage multiple projects and tasks as part of a cohesive team.
