American Emergency Vehicles (AEV) is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and test mechanical components and assemblies for our ambulance platforms. You will use CAD/CAE tools to create drawings, verify designs with calculations, and support manufacturing teams on process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of related experience.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and layouts.

Responsibilities

• Assist with designing, developing, and testing mechanical components and assemblies.
• Use CAD/CAE software to develop structural designs and create detailed drawings.
• Verify designs with calculations and analytical tools.
• Understand manufacturing processes with emphasis on metal fabrication.
• Support lean manufacturing principles in product development.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
