Job summary

American Emergency Vehicles (AEV) is a leading ambulances manufacturer, providing Type 1-3 and medium-duty units. The Drafter role supports engineering by producing CAD drawings and schematics from specifications, ensuring adherence to CAD standards and design intent.

Responsibilities include coordinating with engineers, revising designs to address issues, and maintaining BOMs and production drawings. Requires an Associate’s degree and up to 2 years’ related experience.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed design drawings and specifications from markups and verbal instructions using CAD equipment.
• Work with others to design lay-out or detail components and systems and resolve design problems.
• Review specifications and drawings to assess factors affecting component designs and procedures.
