Job summary

System One in Parlin, NJ seeks an entry-level Mechanical Engineer for a part-time, contract role with a flexible schedule. The position is 100% on-site at start, with hours 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, and a $25–$28 hourly compensation.

Candidates may have a 4-year Mechanical Engineering degree or related hands-on experience, plus interest in CAD, machining, CNC programming, or machine shop operations; HAAS lathe familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Interest or experience with CAD, machining, CNC programming, or machine shop operations.
• Familiarity with HAAS CNC lathes is a plus.
• Contract assignment expected to last 6–12 months.
• On-site position in Parlin, NJ with flexible scheduling (20–30 hours per week considered).
