Job summary

American Equipment Systems in Utah is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Designer I to join our overhead crane design team. You will support the design and fabrication of crane systems using 3D models, standard practices, and configuration tools to produce customer submittal drawings and fabrication packages.

You will work under experienced designers and engineers to build proficiency in mechanical design, detailing, and product configuration, with a clear path through three design levels and

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Drafting or Mechanical Design or related field.
• SolidWorks 3D design experience with CAD/PLM tools.
• Understanding of GD&T and basic engineering principles.
• Familiar with CMAA, ANSI/ASME, OSHA codes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand customer specifications and industry requirements.
• Prepare customer submittal drawings.
• Create fabrication drawing packages and BOMs.
• Incorporate redlines and update models for As-Builts.
• Ensure drawings meet standards and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with engineering, fabrication, and project management.
