Job summary

American Equipment Systems is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Designer-I to support the design and fabrication of overhead crane systems. You will use 3D design models, apply standards, and prepare customer submittal drawings and fabrication drawing packages.

You will work under experienced designers and engineers to develop proficiency in mechanical detailing, drawing standards, and product configuration, with a defined three-level design path.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical training in drafting/design.
• SolidWorks experience with product modeling preferred.
• Familiarity with GD&T and fabrication processes.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret customer specifications and industry requirements.
• Prepare customer submittal drawings and fabrication drawing sets.
• Create detailed BOMs and ensure drawings meet standards.
• Incorporate redlines from fabrication into 3D models and As-Builts.
• Collaborate with engineering, fabrication, and project management.
