Job summary

DBR in Houston is seeking a Mechanical Designer I to support design efforts on selected projects, delivering quality work on schedule. You will learn DBR design standards and provide schematic design information to the Project Manager or Technical Mentor.

You will prepare drawings, perform basic calculations, and help develop construction documents with the project team, using Revit and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Architectural Engineering or
• Technical/Associate Degree with 1 year of related work experience or
• High School Diploma/GED with 2 years of related work experience

Responsibilities

• Provide design assistance on selected projects and collaborate with designers and BIM staff to deliver a quality product on schedule.
• Prepare drawings and sketches for incorporation into final drawings.
• Research design options and document findings as directed by Project Manager or Mentor.
• Ensure drawings and designs comply with company production and design standards.
• Maintain organized project files and assist in development of construction documents.
