Job summary

DBR is seeking a Plumbing Designer I in Dallas to support design development and BIM coordination on selected projects. The role involves applying design standards, preparing preliminary calculations, equipment sizing, and creating cut sheets of proposed equipment while working under mentoring guidance.

You will contribute to schematic and development stages, coordinate with project teams, and ensure drawings meet company standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• Technical/Associate Degree with 1 year of related work experience.
• High School Diploma/GED with 2 years of related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide design assistance on selected projects and collaborate with other designers and BIM staff.
• Apply DBR design standards and refer to the PAL for guidance.
• Prepare drawings and sketches for incorporation into final drawings.
• Organize and maintain project files and manage workload communication with mentors.
• Incorporate design concepts from schematic to development stages and assist in producing construction documents.
• Research equipment options and perform initial calculations and code reviews as directed.
