Job summary

Crusoe Energy is hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer I to translate customer requirements into production-ready 3D models and detailed drawings for modular integrated electronics buildings and power distribution equipment.

You will learn under senior engineers, drafts, and documents to ensure designs meet regulatory and commercial codes, while developing skills in DFMA, ECOs, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 0–2 years mechanical design experience (internships/co-ops accepted).
• Foundational 3D modeling with SolidWorks; willingness to learn SolidWorks PDM.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design of modular integrated buildings and power distribution equipment.
• Develop specification sheets, BOMs, assembly instructions, and manufacturing docs.
• Draft shop drawings, submittals, O&M manuals, and as-built drawings with senior guidance.
• Learn to apply building/energy codes, UL listings, and customer specs.
• Support design reviews and drawing checks to ensure accuracy.
• Contribute to DFMA/DFx reviews for cost and manufacturability.
• Assist ECOs and lifecycle management with cross-functional teams.
• Shadow Sales, PM, Purchasing, and Manufacturing to solve problems.
