Job summary

Ideal candidates have a mechanical engineering background, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to produce clear hand-written calculations and organized documentation for licensure tracks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering with mechanical emphasis, or a closely related field is required.
• Complete and pass Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE), preferred
• 0-2 years of related experience as a student intern, or employment experience as an Engineer-in-Training highly preferred
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to use Carrier HAP, Trane Trace, or similar company-approved mechanical analysis software in concert with hand-written calculations
• Ability to present hand-written calculations in an organized and legible manner
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software to maintain accurate project records

Responsibilities

• Provide reliable, constructible, affordable, and timely solutions (RCAT)
• Perform routine or entry-level engineering tasks neatly and accurately
• Prepare engineering calculations and minor designs
• Work on multiple projects for various project managers
• Document project experience for licensure records
• Prepare hours estimates for project proposals after gaining experience
• Develop communications through correspondence with internal clients
• Attend design, construction meetings and site visits with engineers
• Comply with company policies and procedures
• Participate in continuing education webinars and sessions
• Participate in networking and Young Professionals events
• Perform other related duties as assigned
