Providence Engineering is seeking a Design Engineer I, Electrical in the United States. You will complete routine engineering tasks under supervision on projects of varying sizes, contributing to reliable and constructible solutions.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, plus FE exam pursuit. 0–2 years of related experience is preferred, with opportunities to grow licensure and valuable ESOP benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering with electrical emphasis, or a closely related field is required.
• Complete and pass Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE).
• 0-2 years of related experience as a student intern or Engineer-in-Training highly preferred.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsabilités

• Adopt a positive attitude of accountability by providing reliable, constructible, affordable, and timely solutions (RCAT).
• Perform routine or entry-level engineering tasks neatly, accurately, and efficiently to meet budget hours estimate provided by supervisor.
• Prepare engineering calculations and minor designs while developing skills to take professional engineer exam for licensing.
• Work on multiple, concurrent projects for various project managers, and sometimes for other branches.
• Document project experience for NCEES record to facilitate future licensure.
• After gaining experience, prepare hours estimates for project proposals for use by project manager.
• Develop communications skills through correspondence and coordination with internal clients.
• Attend design meetings, construction meetings, and site visits with experienced engineer.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Participate in continuing education webinars and education sessions.
• Participate in networking and Young Professionals events.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
