Job summary

TURBOCAM is seeking an entry-level Shipping/Receiving Associate in Barrington, NH to own the flow of parts for customers and support production plans. You will handle packing, shipping forms, inventory, and coordinate with freight companies while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma, 1–2 years in an office or shop, good math and MS Office skills, and a valid driver’s license; forklift certification is a plus.

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Shipping and receiving: coordinate with internal/external scheduling and daily/weekly plans.
  • Ensure proper packing of parts and prepare shipping forms.
  • Communicate with freight companies to arrange pick-ups.
  • Maintain inventory and order materials for shipping.
  • Receive deliveries, verify against packing slips and PO.
  • Deliver items to the appropriate personnel.
  • Release materials to the shop and maintain accurate counts.
  • Take ownership of the area and drive accuracy, efficiency, and communication.

Join a team of professionalswhere you will be responsible for supporting the goals of the team by owning the flow of parts and materials for external/internal customers. Specialists are responsible for the flow of product through receiving, shipping, and assembly.

This is a an entry-level role starting at $21/hr, and is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their skills and experience.

Come Build with Us:
  • Shipping and receiving:
    • Using external and internal customer scheduling, communicate and work to daily and weekly plans for shipping to customers and suppliers.
    • Ensure proper packing of parts being shipped.
    • Prepare required shipping forms, assemble boxes, create packing and/or part labels, pack cartons, and adhere packing slips/labels to cartons.
    • Communicate with authorized freight companies to arrange the pick-up of shipments.
    • Maintain inventory and order materials needed for the shipping area.
    • Receive all material and deliveries; check deliveries for damage before signing receipt of goods.
    • Verify merchandise received against the packing slip and purchase order.
    • Deliver items to the appropriate personnel.
    • Perform other duties as necessary.
  • Operations: Execute on production plans made by the planning group:
    • Create and execute purchase orders for raw material and subcontract services.
    • Release material to the shop.
    • Maintain accurate inventory counts.
  • General
    • Take ownership of the area and all duties in a way that:
      • Prioritizes the needs of customers (internal and external).
      • Demonstrates accuracy, efficiency, and order.
      • Enables improvement: cost, efficiency, accuracy.
      • Makes sure communication is happening to customers and suppliers.
Bring Your Expertise:
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1 to 2 years’ experience in an office or shop environment preferred.
  • Good math skills.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks; attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills.
  • Intermediate understanding of MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel and Epicor.
  • Must possess valid driver’s license from his/her state of residence; forklift certifiable.
  • Requires occasional lifting and carrying of 50 lbs. or more and standing for extended periods of time.
  • Moderate physical activity requiring agility and manual dexterity, including walking, standing, or bending as well as lifting or moving objects.
