Job summary

TURBOCAM is seeking a detail-oriented coordinator to oversee the flow of work from order receipt to shipment in a manufacturing setting. You will act as a communication hub among Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Quality, Shipping, and customers to ensure schedules are met and products are delivered on time.

Responsibilities include maintaining production schedules, coordinating with multiple managers, managing purchasing and tooling, and preparing documentation for Quality review.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
  • Experience in metalworking or manufacturing environment is advantageous.
  • Purchasing and planning experience is preferred.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems, especially Epicor, is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate production workflow from order receipt through shipment.
  • Develop and monitor production schedules to meet commitments.
  • Coordinate with project managers, operations managers, and cell managers.
  • Purchase raw materials and coordinate tooling requirements.
  • Manage subcontract vendors and related documentation.
  • Create and maintain travelers, inspections, certifications, and records.
  • Generate purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping docs.
  • Prepare certification packages for Quality review prior to shipment.
  • Monitor WIP, identify delays, and adjust schedules as needed.
  • Communicate issues and develop solutions with stakeholders.
  • Maintain workpiece storage and material flow on the floor.
  • Assist with shipping/receiving and material movement with proper equipment.

where you will be responsible for coordinating the flow of work through the manufacturing process from receipt of customer order through final shipment. This role serves as a key communication link between Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Quality, Shipping, and customers to ensure production schedules are achieved, customer requirements are met, and products are delivered on time.

  • Coordinate the production workflow from order receipt through shipment for assigned jobs.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor production schedules to ensure customer commitments and internal production goals are achieved.
  • Coordinate workflow with project managers, operations managers, and production cell managers to ensure efficient production flow.
  • Purchase raw materials and coordinate tooling requirements in accordance with manufacturing requirements.
  • Manage all subcontract vendors.
  • Create, organize, update, and maintain all job documentation, including travelers, inspection documents, certifications, and related manufacturing records.
  • Generate purchase orders, packing slips, shipping documentation, and other production-related paperwork.
  • Prepare certification packages and supporting documentation for Quality review prior to shipment.
  • Monitor work-in-process, identify scheduling conflicts or production constraints, and communicate recommended schedule adjustments to minimize delays.
  • Proactively communicate production issues, material shortages, quality concerns, or schedule risks to appropriate personnel and assist in developing solutions.
  • Establish and maintain workpiece storage and staging infrastructure on the production floor to promote safe, organized, and efficient material flow.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including coordinating packaging methods and inventory movement. Move, flip, stack, and transport parts as needed using cranes, hoists, and forklifts when properly trained and authorized.
  • Perform other duties as necessary, including part cleaning, manual deburring and polishing, shop cleaning and 5S activities, and operating miscellaneous production processes as required.
Bring Your Expertise:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent. Associate’s degree in Business or related field preferred.
  • One years’ experience working in an office environment; experience in metal working industry preferred.
  • Purchasing and planning experience preferred.
  • Experience utilizing ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing environment preferred; Epicor experience strongly preferred.
  • Advanced computer proficiency in MS Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel and MRP software
  • Knowledge of metalworking preferred.
  • Strong planning skills.
  • Good communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
  • This is a highly physical position that requires working in a manufacturing environment and may involve exposure to dirt, oil, coolant, and other shop conditions.
  • Position requires moving parts throughout the manufacturing facility.
  • Job involves pushing heavy parts at times.
  • Must be able to safely lift up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
  • Must have range of motion sufficient to permit climbing stairs, walking, standing, stooping and crouching for extended periods of time while performing duties.
