Job summary

Terracon is seeking a field/lab testing assistant to perform basic tests and observations on soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel. You will document findings and communicate results to the Project Manager while maintaining equipment and safety standards.

Under supervision, you will gain increasing responsibility and participate in pre-task planning, data submission, and quality assurance across projects, with opportunity to obtain relevant certifications during the first months of

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 6 months field testing/observation experience.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
• Must obtain ACI certification within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred Nuclear Density Gauge certification within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials.
• Communicate with project team regarding requirements and results.
• Transport samples to the laboratory with documentation for testing.
• Prepare data and observations in written and digital reports for daily submittal.
• Maintain equipment, vehicles and work areas; assist scheduling as needed.
• Follow safety rules and ensure quality standards on all projects.
