Job summary

General Mills is seeking a Systems Engineer to provide technical leadership on the packaging and processing platform. You will spend significant time on the manufacturing floor, troubleshoot, and build the team's capability in our foundational systems and data.

You will drive loss elimination, improve system reliability, and support startup activities, with a focus on safety, capability building, and data-driven decision making across the 4M inputs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
• 1–2 years of related experience preferred
• Experience with manufacturing systems and unit operations
• Strong data and performance metrics analysis
• Experience in consumer products or process industry
• Familiarity with SAP/Maximo/MQIS data systems

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety as a primary focus and lead safety practices
• Build capability on 4M relationships and floor activities
• Drive system utilization and loss elimination initiatives
• Provide startup support and back-up coverage
