Job summary

TransCore-Amtech Systems (AMS) in Albuquerque, New Mexico seeks a Manufacturing Operator I to join our production team. Under supervision, you will perform basic assembly or testing of components and operate manual or automated equipment to build and verify assemblies.

Responsibilities include handling assembly tasks, following documented instructions, recording accurate data, and maintaining a clean work area.

Qualifications

• Related experience is preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Willingness to learn manufacturing machinery is preferred.
• Basic math skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Good communication skills including reading, writing, and speaking.

Responsibilities

• Hand, automated, or mechanical assembly or testing of products to meet or exceed established quality standards.
• Assembles products based on the documentation or instructions provided.
• Operates equipment such as the hot plate welder, ultrasonic welder, computer automated Tag Testing Systems using simple software.
• Provides accurate data and/or information either electronically or handwritten as requested.
• General housekeeping of the workspace at the end of shift.
• Other operations may be required by management to meet production needs.
