Job summary

Taco, Inc. is seeking an Assembler Tester I to perform basic assembly and testing of a variety of products and components on a first shift. You will maintain materials for production, keep your workspace organized, and update work in the ERP system.

Responsibilities include assembling parts per MPS/BOM, reviewing ERP orders daily, maintaining inventory, and performing tests to ensure product quality. This role requires standing, lifting up to 30 lbs, and strict adherence to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 3 months of mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Competent to operate computer and complete basic data entry in systems.
• Must learn responsibilities and adhere to production procedures.
• Able to attain Manufacturing Process Sheets (MPS) training sign-off within 90 days.
• Physical dexterity to manipulate hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to push, pull, lift and move materials up to 30 lbs; able to use hoists for heavier items.
• Able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow verbal/written instructions.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic assembly of parts and products according to MPS and BOM.
• Reviews job information in ERP daily to determine orders to process.
• Maintains inventory of materials needed for production orders.
• Operates basic equipment and uses common hand and pneumatic tools.
• Performs standard tests after completion of each assembly to ensure tolerances and quality.
• Rotates between workstations as production needs require.
• Monitors work for accuracy and safety and reports issues to Team Lead.
