Construction Specialties, a long‑standing manufacturer founded in 1948, seeks a production operator to perform various manufacturing operations, including subassemblies and final assembly. You will operate equipment such as saws, drills, punches, and forming tools in an assigned area, ensuring quality and safety at every step.

Responsibilities include following work orders, assisting with production as needed, loading materials, and maintaining a clean workspace while upholding ISO 14001 EMS

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and up to 12 months related experience or training; or equivalent
• Stand/walk for long periods; use hands to handle tools; reach with arms; ability to lift over 25 lbs regularly and up to 60 lbs occasionally
• Must complete hazardous material and waste handling training within 6 months of hire and annually thereafter

Responsabilités

• Receives general and varied work assignments from Production Supervisor
• Completes assigned tasks alone or with others; assists in various tasks
• Ensures guards and safety devices are installed and functioning; reports discrepancies
• Operates saws and other equipment to cut extruded stock and assembly as per work orders
• Performs manufacture or makeup of subassemblies for stock
• Loads/unloads materials to pallets and moves materials using equipment
• Attaches labels and tags to material and containers for tracking
• Maintains area, equipment and supplies in clean, orderly condition
• Performs ongoing quality checks and identifies opportunities to improve material or process
• Follows directions to perform other company-related work as needed
