Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with up to twelve months related experience and/or training.
• Training with respect to guidelines for hazardous material and waste handling within six months of hire and annually thereafter.
• Regular standing, walking, lifting (up to 60 pounds) and use of hand tools as part of duties.

Responsibilities

• Receives general and varied work assignments from Production Supervisor.
• Completes assigned tasks alone or assists others in various tasks.
• Ensures guards and safety devices are installed and operating; reports discrepancies.
• Adjusts and operates saw equipment to cut extruded stock; positions fixtures to locate cuts.
• Uses shop equipment such as table saw, hand drill or drill press, punch and die press, fixed router, nut drivers and heat forming equipment.
• Performs assembly using materials and parts per work order or drawings; follows procedures.
• Performs manufacture or make up of subassemblies for stock.
• Loads/unloads materials using pallet movers, carts, or hand trucks.
• Attaches marks and labels to material and containers for identification.
• Maintains neat work area and reports problems to Production Supervisor.
• Performs quality checks with color/size/color vision and measuring devices.
• Complies with ISO 14001 EMS and environmental guidelines; may use fall protection as required.
• May assist other production areas as needed.
