Job summary

Marathon Staffing is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing client. You will perform routine preventative maintenance, repair machinery, and install basic equipment under supervision.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork in a busy plant environment. Ideal candidates have basic electrical and mechanical knowledge, welding/fabrication exposure, and the ability to read simple schematics.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of experience in maintenance/repair of industrial equipment desirable.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
• Ability to use hydraulic/pneumatic equipment, presses, cordless drills, clamps and other small tools safely.
• Ability to read basic machine schematics with minimal guidance.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine tasks and duties including scheduled preventive maintenance assigned by a supervisor.
• Inspects, repairs, and maintains mechanical equipment and machinery using a variety of tools.
• Follow OSHA requirements and practice safety awareness in daily activities.
• Read and interpret basic machine schematics to diagnose wear or damage.
• Organize parts and materials; lift/move items up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure overall plant success.
